Independent music is given a lot of importance there, he said.Probably because every artiste is an independent artiste in their own right and successful.Everyone including myself and Shankar Mahadevan migrated to Bollywood music because of the China Fusible laminated tape Manufacturers commercial viability.(Natalia Ningthoujam can be contacted at [emailprotected])IANSnn/nv/bgPost Source: Ians feed. The arrangement has been done by Abhijit. And since they shifted, their sound also shifted to Bollywood. There is Sufi, rock and more. The three artistes have given a twist to hit numbers Bol do na zara and Main agar kahu for T-Series Mixtape. The Guest Iin London composers latest single in collaboration with singers Armaan Malik and Jonita Gandhi is out now, and the saxophone player cant stop raving about it. We needed to do that otherwise we would have got stagnated.

They attempt songs and give them a different light because there is lesser bastardisation of a musician. In his career spanning about 15 years, Sachar has composed for Bollywood films like Kabul Express and One Two Three apart form doing his independent projects.Drawing comparisons between Indian and Pakistani music scenes, Sachar told IANS over phone from Mumbai: They (Pakistan) have a very big independent segment. So, if you compare the two Coke Studios, you can see a stark difference between what we have created here and what they have created over there.Talking about teaming up with Malik and Gandhi, Sachar said: Its the first time that I worked along side Armaan. That didnt happen. Even the director is probably not much involved in music making. In India, he feels, there is a conflict of interest between whatever little indie pop exists and Bollywood. So, by the time the music is made by the music director to the release time, there are multiple changes made to the song and it ends up losing soul because too many cooks spoil the broth.Thats because both (indie music and Bollywood artistes) are making songs and both are making same type of songs.By Natalia NingthoujamNew Delhi, July 14 (IANS) Pakistan has a very big independent music segment and its musicians are much more evolved as there is lesser bastardisation of a musician in the neighbouring country as compared to Bollywood, says composer-singer-multi-instrumentalist Raghav Sachar. And thats something that doesnt often happen in Pakistan, he believes.

There is no difference between the two fields. The only way to survive is Bollywood because it is much more mightier, has the money, actors, has the faces, said the Charming lootera singer. Its basically the producer who is putting in the money and then the label. In Bollywood, what happens is that you are making a song for a film which is directed by a person. JonitaIve worked with her quite a few times. I thought saxophone would go really well in this particular arrangement because its not as crowded and has space for me to do stuff, he said. There is no difference between todays time Bollywood and independent music like Honey Singhs independent songs or Honey Singhs film songs will sound the same. They have really outdone themselves which is little shocking because we are churning out more music than they are, he added. We were going to do a track for Guest Iin London. We did shows together.

"They are still the best way to discover new bands here.Collectors and music fans wearing the t-shirts of obscure rock bands brave the tropical heat outside a record store near Malaysia’s capital, waiting to get their hands on new cassette tapes. There are no vinyl-pressing plants in Southeast Asia, cassette lovers say, while cassette plants still dot the region. To mark International Cassette Store Day, Teenage Head Records released 200 cassettes featuring Malaysian rock band Bittersweet. In Southeast Asia low production costs and a retro-cool image have made cassettes an underground-music fixture, especially for struggling bands getting their name out.Bittersweet has released three CD albums but keyboardist Fadhilul Iqmal said pressing a few more songs on cassette helps pump up the band’s discography at low cost, while the format’s compact size makes it more mobile than vinyl."Vinyl has a warmer sound but it is more expensive. In Indonesia, they have a newfound novelty appeal among youths who grew up with digital music. If you have money you can buy vinyl, if you don’t have money, you can buy cassette," says Mohamad Nor Yaacob, co-founder of Malaysia’s Basement Records, which focuses on hardcore punk and metal."

It’s trendy right now with a generation of 20-somethings not used China Bondable aluminum PET to buying physical music," explained Marcel Thee, vocalist of Indonesian band Sajama Cut, which issued a two-song cassette recently."Tapes provide a platform for releasing singles.. If it wasn’t on tape, it would have garnered less attention," Thee said. For older music fans, the cassettes bring back fond memories of homemade mix tapes."Cassettes are our best sellers," Mohammad Radzi Jasni, owner of the store, Teenage Head Records, said after shoving one by Singaporean surf-punk band Force Vomit into a bulky tape player.Such thinking has helped fuel a burgeoning DIY cassette label industry in the region. For struggling young bands, cassettes are a potential entry ticket into the industry. It’s very affordable for the guys releasing it and the fans buying them," he added.Vinyl’s cost is a hurdle for young bands and DIY labels in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. No, this isn’t a flashback to the 1980s, but an event marking recent International Cassette Store Day, an annual celebration of a music format once thought headed for extinction but now enjoying a rebirth.

Almost all were sold out by the day’s end.As with vinyl, fans also appreciate the tangible nature of tapes and the artwork that comes with the inlays.Later, exports of cheaply made cassettes can help labels and bands reach a larger fanbase overseas, opening up touring possibilities. When people know your band, you can make vinyl if you have money," says Nor.Notorious for getting jammed, unspooled, and for their hiss-heavy sound — cassettes were eclipsed worldwide by CDs in the early 1990s, though they held their ground in Southeast Asia until the early 2000s.Sound is another issue — the vinyl and cassette cognoscenti dismiss digital music as too compressed and lacking the warmth of analog sound."First you release on cassette, like 100 pieces.Manufacturing costs can be as low as four ringgit ($1) per tape in Malaysia, compared to 60 to 80 ringgit for a vinyl record.Vinyl’s renaissance is well-documented and now it seems cassettes are rising from the grave, with artists such as Kanye West and Justin Bieber releasing songs on tape.
